Research into the cultural environment exposes how tablewares are used and how they could be more useful. An investigation into the landscape provides cues for colours, textures and material combinations that evoke New Zealand’s landscape. These cultural and natural environments work together to drive the ideation and concepts for the range. The result is a design direction that suggests the informal atmosphere of New Zealand eating and entertaining in any home, here or overseas.
